Introduction
The WP10 is a classic Weichai engine with outputs from 220 to 280 kW, available in Euro II to Euro V versions. It is used in 6×4 tractors for short- and medium-haul standard-load transport.
Features
- Frame-type engine block reduces noise effectively.
- One cylinder head per cylinder for easy maintenance.
- Dry cylinder liners seal well against coolant and resist cavitation.
- High-flow, maintenance-free water pump raises the cooling capacity of the engine and of the vehicle cooling system.
- Water-cooled air compressor runs at a lower thermal load for a longer service life.
- Rugged: inherits the durability of the traditional Steyr engine.
- Powerful: large displacement and high torque give better gradeability, lower fuel consumption and more comfortable driving.
- Higher torque rise for easier overtaking and more efficient transport.
- Fuel-efficient: minimum fuel consumption as low as 188 g/kWh, with a wide economical operating range.
- Easy to service: high parts commonality with the two-valve diesel engines.
- Economical: low rated speed and low friction losses; a wide economical speed range saves more fuel.
- Optimized matching: a low engine-speed matching point and low friction losses make the vehicle more fuel-efficient.
